"HIRING GENO WAS LIKE HAVING A BEST FRIEND TAKE YOU AROUND ON A PERSONALIZED TOUR OF HIS ISLAND. WE GOT TO DO EXACTLY WHAT WE WANTED, WITHOUT HAVING TO WORRY ABOUT THE LOGISTICS. While working in the hotel industry, I regularly heard similar frustrations and complaints from the guests. Common displeasures were:

*We have children, and we don't know where to go as a family
*We took a tour bus, and we wanted to stay at some of the locations. but we had to get back on the bus to leave. We felt like it was a jail/prisoner bus. Nothing catered to our children.
*On our tour bus, every 4th stop was a gift shop.
*If we rented a car, we just don't know where to go.
*We feel trapped in our hotel area.
*We want to see real Hawaii, not man made things at our hotel grounds.
*We tried to see as much as we could, and we found our whole vacation was too rushed, and we never really relaxed.
*WE WISH THERE WAS A TOUR GUIDE THAT WOULD TAKE US WHERE WE WANT TO GO!!
Because I felt for these people, I have created a personal guide service on the Big Island. I am an independent guide and a resident of the Big Island for over 40 years. I am also a single father of 2 beautiful boys, ages 16 and 15.
